Hello friends – This is day four of a five day series of heart reflections on the Feast of Dedication (Hanukkah). You can read previous posts and catch up here.
Join me as I unpack simple yet profound truths, I’m discovering as I ponder the feast this year.
Each day is broken into three short sections:
A simple concept to consider with Holy Spirit.
An action step
A verse to ponder/pray.
Day 4
Reclaim: Today as I think about the things God has been revealing in my heart, I realize how deeply I need and desire the ways of Jesus. He is truly the only one who can heal my soul and reclaim the areas of my heart that have been invaded by fear, worry, irritability and sin. As I quiet my heart and lean in, He removes the debris through the work of Holy Spirit and reclaims these spaces as His own. The picture He reveals is breathtaking. He is transforming the barren wasteland into a garden teeming with life, beauty and hope…
Consider: Referencing your time of Repentance yesterday, allow the Holy Spirit to reveal the ways He intends to reclaim each of the space(s) in your heart.
Act: Ask Him to show you a picture or give you words to describe what these spaces will begin to look like as He lays claim to each one. With Joy write down/record what you see, hear, sense or feel.
Ponder: Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Psalm 51:7
I’ll meet you back here, tomorrow.
